DR. BARRY F. MCARDLE
Barry F. McArdle, DMD graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and had been practicing general dentistry on the New Hampshire seacoast ever since then until his retirement from clinical practice in 2024. Dr. McArdle has authored articles both nationally and internationally in such peer reviewed publications as THE JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION, THE COMPENDIUM OF CONTINUING EDUCATION IN DENTISTRY, DENTAL ECONOMICS, CONTEMPORARY ESTHETICS & RESTORATIVE PRACTICE, DENTISTRY TODAY, COSMETIC TRIBUNE, DENTAL PRACTICE REPORT, DENTAL COLLABORATIONS and the British journal DENTISTRY. He has been selected as an expert reviewer of manuscripts submitted for publication to THE JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION as well. Dr. McArdle is a member of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, the first national organization for cosmetic dentists to be established in the U.S. and also a proud alumnus of The Pankey Institute For Advanced Dental Education, the word's premier organization for continued learning in dentistry. In 2000, he and Dr. Lisa Schulman co-founded the Seacoast Esthetic Dentistry Association [SEDA] headquartered in Portsmouth, NH. In 1998, Dr. McArdle founded his lecture series Seacoast Dental Seminars and spoke all over the country for programs from local study clubs to state dental societies to regional dental conventions on up to the ADA's annual session before retiring from the circuit in 2016.He has served on the active medical staff in dentistry of Concord Hospital in Concord, NH at its Family Health Center dental clinic. The FHC dental clinic serves disadvantaged patients in the greater Concord area. He was also on the advisory board of the Seacoast Dental Coalition, which coordinates care for the underserved population of the southeastern New Hampshire area and he volunteered at the Families First dental center in Portsmouth, NH. He has additionally served on the board of directors of Priority Dental Health, Inc. the New Hampshire Dental Society's Direct Reimbursement entity and on the editorial committee of THE GRANITE STATE DENTIST, the newsletter of the New Hampshire Dental Society. Dr. McArdle will continue his work with SEDA during retirement in the foreseeable future and still serves on the board of governors for the New England Dental Society, this country's oldest existing dental continuing education organization.
DR. LISA B. SCHULMAN
Lisa B. Schulman, DDS graduated from New York University in 1992. Following that, she attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook to receive a certificate from an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. From there she continued her studies in a specialty program for prosthodontics at The Medical College of Virginia. She started her prosthodontic practice in Somersworth, NH during 1995 and then moved the practice to Portsmouth, NH. She retired from clinical practice in 2026. Dr. Schulman taught at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for 3 years, hosted a woman's implant study club while also holding the positions of Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Southeast New Hampshire Dental Society. She has previously served on the the New Hampshire Dental Society's Board of Trustees representing the society's Southeast component. Dr. Schulman also is on the executive board of Seacare Dental Services. In 2000, she and Dr. Barry McArdle co-founded the Seacoast Esthetic Dentistry Association [SEDA] headquartered in Portsmouth, NH.
