If You Want To Present To Us

If you would like to be one of our speakers, please contact us.  Also please be advised that since [SEDA] is funded primarily by member dues, we ask that our speakers either donate their honorariums or be sponsored by one of the several industry patrons with which we have a working relationship.  We will arrange such sponsorship at your request or, if you have a sponsor who might be willing to work with us, we will consider such collaborations on a case by case basis.  Each speaker's honorarium must be established at the time of scheduling (unless fully donated) and all sponsorship proceeds must be payable to [SEDA] unless other arrangements have been made in advance.  Speakers then collect their honoraria by invoicing [SEDA] after the meeting has taken place.  All sponsorship at any of our meetings is so announced at the beginning of each meeting.  While we do in some cases reimburse speakers for their travel expenses, all such travel plans must be arranged and paid for directly by [SEDA] in consultation with speakers or their authorized representatives.  All speakers will be required to sign a conflict of interest disclosure.

SPEAKERS:  COME TASTE THE SEDA EXPERIENCE!

At SEDA, we want our visiting speakers to enjoy their time with us.  We prefer that you fly in on the Thursday afternoon before the meeting so that we can show you around New Hampshire's scenic vacation play land and dine with you that evening at one of the seacoast's elegant restaurants, perhaps looking over Portsmouth harbor or the beautiful Piscataqua river.  That way we can tell you more about our dental community and the sophisticated group of professionals who inhabit it, so you'll have a feel for your audience before you lecture.  The next night we'll "debrief" you on that day's meeting over one more fine meal at another of our classic venues so that we can learn how to better serve our membership and our speakers.  Trust us, SEDA is a speaking engagement that you won't forget and will want to return to.  So, come taste the SEDA experience, you won't be sorry that you did!

If You Want To Be A Sponsor

If you wish to be one of our corporate sponsors and enjoy the promotional benefits of an association with [SEDA], please also contact us.  All industry support of [SEDA] meetings is announced as such at the beginning of each meeting.  Sponsors may support speakers, their travel expenses, venue costs or [SEDA]'s administrative and marketing budget.  All sponsorship commitments must be in writing and made by a representative of the sponsoring entity authorized to make such commitments, unless the funds in question have been negotiated by and will be paid directly to the speaker involved.  Any advertising considerations for individual patrons will be decided on a case by case basis.  All sponsors will be allowed a booth at any meeting in which they participate.  Scheduled speakers and course content are solely approved by [SEDA].

REFUND POLICY

Annual dues payments, individual meeting fees  and sponsorship paymments are non-refundable.  [SEDA] will make every reasonable attempt to inform sponsors, members and meeting attendees of any changes as early as possible before the meeting in question.  In case of meeting cancellation or speaker change for sponsors or individual meeting attendees (including any business entity, dentists, CDTs, industry representatives or auxiliaries), credit for the fee in question will be extended towards any subsequent meeting through the following season only.  Sponsorship funds are only transferable when they have been dedicated to a certain speaker who subsequently cancels and is replaced by another lecturer not approved by the original sponsor.  All other sponsorship funding (i.e., for venue costs, travel expenses, [SEDA]'s marketing and administrative budgets etc.) cannot be returned for any reason other than the cancellation of a particular meeting that is not rescheduled.  Alternate dates for cancelled meetings will be the following Thursday evening or Friday all day, corresponding to the day of the week on which the meeting was originally scheduled, unless otherwise noted.  Should a meeting be cancelled (e.g., due to inclement weather) after the scheduled speaker has arrived and that speaker be unable to attend the alternate date of the meeting, he or she will be paid for their travel expenses if such arrangements had been made in advance.
